Terms of Use

1. What Jukebox is

Jukebox lets a host run a song-request queue at their own private event. Guests scan a QR code, submit a name, an optional message and a song, and the platform announces each request before playing it through the host's own Spotify or Apple Music account. Jukebox does not stream or license any music itself.

2. Host accounts

• You must provide accurate information when you register, and you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must have your own valid Spotify Premium or Apple Music subscription to play music through Jukebox — Jukebox does not provide one.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account during an event you run, including requests that get announced or played.

3. The host moderates

Jukebox does not screen messages automatically. Messages are hidden from the host by default so the room is surprised — the host can reveal a message before it's announced, and can remove any pending request from their dashboard at any time, for any reason, without notifying the guest. Because messages aren't reviewed automatically, you as the host are responsible for what gets read aloud and played at your event, and for any photos or other content you choose to display alongside it. Invite people you trust, and remove requests you don't want played.

4. Guest conduct

Requesting a song does not require an account, but it does require you to act like a guest at someone's private event. Don't submit a name, message or song request that's abusive, harassing, illegal, or that impersonates someone else. A host may remove any request, and may end their event, at their discretion.

5. How the queue works

• Requests play in the order they were submitted, right after whatever the host is currently playing.
• The host can remove a pending request but cannot reorder the queue.
• There's no limit on how many songs a guest can request.
• Ending an event is a deliberate action the host takes — an event otherwise stays open, and its data stays associated with it, until the host ends it or removes individual requests. See the privacy policy for how long data is kept.

6. Availability

Jukebox depends on your Spotify or Apple Music account, your device, and your internet and playback setup working correctly. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not responsible for a party's music if your connected provider, network or hardware fails mid-event.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Jukebox to distribute unlawful content, to harass or impersonate anyone, to interfere with the service, or to try to access another host's account or event. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

8. Disclaimer and liability

Jukebox is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Jukebox is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or from content submitted by guests at your event.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Continuing to use Jukebox after an update means you accept the revised terms.
